YOTVINGIAN PICNIC PAVILLION

Exhibition pavilion of 70 sq. m. was designed and self-built with minimal budget for a cultural event.

Yotwingians were a tribe of Balts that lived in Masurien lakeland of today’s Poland. When the Order of the Holy Cross was invited by Slovian prince, they were christianised by force, and the region was ruled by thePrussian monarchy. More and more traces of their long-gone presence are found with the region looking for it’s former historical identity. Local legends became a topic of a multimedia installation inside.

Pavillion has was commissioned by ECAM Association from Elk. It was constructed in one day by Association members, with budget of 120 EUR.
